Admissions including consultation on the reduction to Reception numbers

CONSULTATION ON THE REDUCTION OF FIRS FARM PAN FROM SEPT 2026

Firs Farm primary school would like to hear your views on our proposal to formally reduce our Published Admissions Number (PAN) for the Sept 2026 Reception intake from 90 children to 60 children. The school has had an unofficial PAN of 60 for the last few years as the number of pupils in the local area requiring school places has reduced.  This formal change will not mean any adjustment to the school's current provision.

In-year Admissions

An in-year admission is when you need to make an application to a school outside of the normal admissions round for the start of Reception.

Please refer to the information at www.enfield.gov.uk/admissions. Applications are made through the online application form on this site. Pupil’s starting our school in the middle of a year will have an introductory meeting with a member of the Headship team. Parents are required to visit our school with their child as part of the admissions process. All new admissions are supported to ensure they are felt welcomed and make friends easily by having a set of friends in class responsible for them. They will be monitored daily by a member of the Senior Leadership Team
