Finally, Spring has sprung! The school is starting to look at its prettiest and now its finally stopped raining we're hoping to open the field soon..
The school has been filled with Book-week themed activities and plenty of children searching for the elusive T-read-ors (based on the TV game Traitors children have to work out the secret reader and their book). Please have a look at some of our pictures from the week, especially our book character parade. Each year group learnt a poem and recited it to the rest of the school – they were excellent!
Our children always look very smart and are often commended when we go on trips and when visitors come in. It creates a sense of community (togetherness), helps families manage the cost by ensuring they can purchase many items cheaply at supermarkets and other shops, is designed to be comfortable and suitable for the school day, and encourages children to take pride in their appearance and is part of their personal values of excellence and respect.
We know it can be difficult as children grow out of items, and we are always happy to help if you need your child to be in a non-uniform item for a few days but we do expect everyone to follow the policy. Please remember that leggings and jogging bottoms are not school uniform (jogging bottoms and sport leggings may be worn on PE days only). Children should wear grey/dark grey trousers, skirts or pinafores or red summer dresses/shorts.
Children who continue to wear the wrong uniform (after being reminded by teachers) will either be given some spare uniform to wear or families called to bring in the correct uniform. Thank you for your support in this.
