  • Uniform Information

    Children and families are expected to follow the uniform policy and requirements at all times. We understand, however at times this may be difficult. If your child will temporarily be wearing a non-uniform item, then please speak to your child's class teacher in the first instance.

    If you are having difficulties purchasing uniform please contact office@firsfarm.enfield.sch.uk explaining the problem - we maybe able to help! Families having financial difficulties may be able to get a grant to help with uniform costs from Enfield Council please go to Household Support Fund | Enfield Council to find out more.

    Our uniform:

    • Burgundy sweatshirt or cardigan. 
    • Grey trousers, shorts pinafore or skirt. We do not allow leggings (unless under a skirt/pinafore), cycling shorts or very short shorts.  Shorts should be tailored and just above the knee. 
    • White polo shirt or cotton shirt
    • Summer uniform: Burgundy checked dress, skirt/top or playsuit
    • Black shoes. We allow black trainer-style shoes. We do not allow boots, shoes with heels or trainers.
    • White, grey or black socks or tights
    • White, black or burgundy Hijab/religious head covering. Hijab's should all in one and to the shoulder/top of torso (this is for health and safety reasons). Head coverings should not pose a health and safety risk e.g. long and able to be caught/pulled. 

    Our PE Uniform:

    • House colour t-shirt (if you are unsure of your child's house/colour this will be on the Arbor app or the office can help). The colours are Blue, Yellow, Red, Turquoise. House T-shirts can be purchased from Lyons with the Firs Farm Logo - otherwise they should be plain with no logos or markings.
    • Black shorts and/or jogging bottoms.  Shorts and jogging bottoms should be plain with no logos or markings.  We do not allow leggings other than sport leggings. We do not allow cycling shorts or short shorts.
    • Black trainers or plimsolls. We do not allow trainers with excessive branding, markings, coloured laces or excessive soles. 

    Other Uniform expectations:

    • Children should not wear any jewellery other than stud earrings. This is for health and safety reasons.  Children may wear the Sikh Kara. Children may wear small birthday badges but they should not have any exposed pins etc. and are not for long-term wear. 
    • Children may wear a small analogue or digital watch. We do not allow smart watches of any kind.
    • Hair: Long hair should be tied back. Children should have small hairbands or ties (red, black or white). We do not allow excessive ribbons, bows or hairbands. We do not allow coloured hair e.g. pink, red etc or coloured hair extensions. 
    • Mobile Phones: We do not allow children to bring Smart Phones on the premises at any time. If you wish your child in Year 6 to have a mobile phone they may hand in a "brick" phone e.g. without GPS/Internet access) to the school office every morning.

    Uniform  can be ordered via Firs Farm Primary School (who deliver to the school if needed). Or via Lyons Uniform Shop 242 Hertford Road,Enfield, EN3 5BL. Alternatively many supermarkets stock non-branded items.
