Safer Internet Day 2024

This year's theme:

Inspiring change? Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online.

This week at Firs Farm, all year groups took part in activities and assemblies for Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 6th February. A celebration which thousands of children around the world take part in every year. Each class took part in Online Safety lessons which focused on developing a deeper understanding of the Digital world and how they can make a difference through their choices.

There was also the opportunity to join in some Live Lessons!

Years 3-6 joined an astonishing 40,000 pupils in a Live lesson right from the classroom, where they learned all about Technology for AI. There was a wonderful buzz of excitement and high levels of engagement from the pupils around the school, as they learned what the future of AI meant for them and how to stay safe.

Whereas Year 1 and 2, joined the BBC Teach team to look at Ai - Technology of the future and get tips on how to navigate safely through the digital landscape.

Please have a look at the pictures below to see what the children participated in and the Online Safety posters they created, which can be viewed as you walk around the school building.
