Day 1

We have had an absolutely fantastic day of activities but, unfortunately, the superb non-digital experience wasn't matched by the digital one! Phone reception is bad and Wifi has been down all night - we have just had the hard-working night manager here and we've finally succeeded in getting it going so I'm uploading these now at gone midnight!

So... I'm guessing/hoping many parents are still up checking this page!

Today, we've been zip lining, taking leaps of faith (trapeze), doing archery, competing the challenge course and singing around a campfire. The children finished up with snacks and treat time in their rooms and were all very ready for lights-out at 10pm.

They are a great group and they've been amazing so far!

Day 2

Another fantastic day of activities - the children have been superstars again and a beautiful sunny day for us too! They've been fencing in the Manor House, having exhilarating rides on the giant swing, climbing the tower and challenging each other to Aeroball!

And we have WiFi!

We've had our last main meal and the children have all eaten well - the salad bar has been a big hit. Who knew that many children liked gherkins!

This evening the children worked in teams to build a protective case for a water balloon - lots of fun but we don't recommend you commission a phone case from any of them just yet - the balloons did not last the night!

Lights out was at 10 but almost every room group elected for an early bed time and had their own lights out before we could tell them. 

They are all packed up and ready for our last two activities tomorrow - abseiling and orienteering and then we'll be heading home after lunch. We'll keep school updated on our progress but expect to see you all at around 4.30pm.

Some of the children can't wait to see you.. some of them don't want to leave!
