Reception’s Chinese New Year Parade

Reception had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year with a whole school parade to showcase all the fantastic learning they have been doing. The children discovered that it is the Year of the Horse and explored different traditions linked to the celebration. They worked together to create a magnificent giant dragon, with every child contributing a part, as well as producing their own individual pieces of artwork.

To celebrate their hard work, the children proudly paraded through the school corridors with their drums and musical instruments while the rest of the school lined the hallways to cheer them on. It was a joyful celebration and a fantastic way for the children to share their learning with everyone.
