  • Our curriculum Autumn Term

    This term we will be studying the following units:

    As well as the curriculum topics we will also be teaching the following skills:

    • Working as a pair or in a group (collaboration)
    • Metacognitive study through feedback, marking, target-setting, problem solving and planning and connecting different areas of study
    • Scaffolding work to support some learners and extending work to deepen understanding for other learners. 
    • Ensuring children activate prior learning through curriculum sequencing, spaced retrieval practice and the way we plan our lessons 

    Some children may require further support and an adapted curriculum.  This may include small group work, interventions or additional adult support in class. 

    KS2: Children will have weekly spellings and grammar lessons. Grammar and punctuation are also taught through our English Curriculum. 

    KS1: Children will be taught spelling rules, grammar and punctuation through our phonics scheme and English Curriculum.
