  • RHSE & PSHE SEPT 2026

From September 2026 schools have to introduce a new PSHE (personal, social, health & economic) and RSHE (relationships, sex, health education). Much of this is now statutory, which means schools have to teach it – we are allowed to decide when to teach topics.  Below is a summary of what how we propose to deliver the RSHE curriculum. Further details on the PSHE curriculum can be found on the menu on the right.

PDFs of the information below and the full proposed policy can be found at the bottom of this page.

The school and governors would like to hear the views of staff and parent/carers. They will take these views into account when they meet to confirm the new policy and curriculum (July 2026).

Below you will find a summary of the new curriculum and RSHE policy, full versions of the proposed  PSHE and RSHE policy and a link to the Parent/carer questionnaire.

Please take time to read all the information and respond.   Following the launch in September we will have regular briefings so that families know when different topics are being taught.   The curriculum for Early Years (Nursery & Reception) has not changed.

Please respond using our form Parent/Carer PSHE/RSHE curriculum form – Fill in form . If you would like a paper copy please either download the PDF and return via the school office or request a paper copy from the school office.
