Year 4 Residential
As part of our school enrichment, we are hoping to take Year 4 on a 1 night, 2 days residential to Cuffley Camp. This will be followed in Year 5 with the French trip, and then Year 6 with their week long residential to Osmington Bay.
The residential is run by Bushcraft Company and will be further supported by Firs Farm staff, led by Miss Price. Bushcraft provide 24 hour pastoral care on their secure site and offer activities such as:
Fire lighting, scenario SOS, salmon pannassing, archery, leadership, cutting tools, trap making, shelter building, games, cooking and tomahawk throwing.
The children will have the opportunity to cook on an open fire (under supervision) that they have lit and, if they wanted to, sleep overnight in a shelter they have built! Activities run all day, into the evening and 3 meals a day are provided alongside snacks and drinks. All dietary requirements are catered for. Meals include; pizza, pasta, salmon and cooked breakfast.
Children will be sleeping outdoors in a bell tent that has been set up for them; each tent sleeps a maximum of 10 children. There will be onsite supervision provided by Bushcraft and Firs Farm staff and the site is totally secure.
