Governors

Welcome to our Governors’ section.

The Governing Body's role is strategic.  Governors are not expected to be involved in the detail day-to-day management of the School.  The Headteacher has responsibility for the internal organisation, management and control of the School and for implementation of the strategic framework established by the Governing Body.

The Governing Body works in partnership with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team, acting as 'critical friends'.  The Governing Body has a role to support and challenge the work of the School.  School Governors contribute to the work of the Governing Body in ensuring high standards of achievement and progress by all children in the School by:

  • setting the school's vision, ethos and strategic direction;
  • holding the Headteacher to account for the education performance of the School and the children;
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the School and making sure its money is well spent.

Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories and responsibilities of our governors. If you would like to contact a member of the governing body you can use the contact form at the bottom of the page, alternatively you can leave a letter at the school office or email office@firfarm.enfield.sch.uk or leave a message that will be passed on.

We do not currently publish the minutes of Governing Body meetings on this page.  If you would like a copy of the approved minutes of any Governing Body meeting please request them via the office.

If you would like paper copies of any of the information here please ask at the office.
